Champions Ajax fought back from a goal down to beat fierce rivals Feyenoord in the Eredivisie on Sunday.
Graziano Pelle gave Ronald Koeman's men an early lead at the Amsterdam Arena, the Italian striker taking advantage of some lax Ajax defending to stab home from close range.
However, the hosts drew level in contentious circumstances just after the half-hour mark when the referee adjudged that Feyenoord's Ruud Vormer had tripped Viktor Fischer in the area.
Kolbeinn Sigthorsson made no mistake with the resulting penalty, sending Erwin Mulder the wrong way.
And the Iceland international forward struck again six minutes later, as he connected with Ruben Ligeon's cross from the right with a stunning diving header that went in off the bar.
The result moves Frank de Boer's side to within three points of early pacesetters PSV and PEC Zwolle, while Feyenoord remain on zero points after three games.
Elsewhere on Sunday, Twente continued their unbeaten start to the season by hammering Utrecht 6-0 at De Grolsch Veste.
The hosts flew out of the traps and were four goals to the good inside 36 minutes. Quincy Promes got the ball rolling eight minutes in, before Dusan Tadic doubled Twente's lead from the spot three minutes later.
Michel Jansen's men were in no mood to take their foot off the pedal there and former Inter forward Luc Castaignos got in on the act with a quickfire double before the break.
Promes then grabbed his second shortly after the hour-mark, before Rasmus Bengtsson completed the rout in the last minute.
Heracles picked up their first points of the campaign with a shock 4-2 win at Heerenveen.
Heerenveen were high on confidence after winning their first two games of the season and they looked on course for another victory when Alfred Finnbogason put them ahead in the third minute.
But Lerin Duarte equalised on the stroke of half-time, before Ben Rienstra and Mike te Wierik put Heracles in charge with two goals in seven minutes after the interval.
Joey van den Berg pulled one back for Marco van Basten's side on 73 minutes, before Bryan Linssen sealed the win for the visitors two minutes from time.
Meanwhile, Ado Den Haag also claimed their first points of the season thanks to Michiel Kramer's injury-time winner at NAC Breda.
Aaron Meijers put Den Haag in front in the 76th minute, but Alex Schalk's penalty nine minutes later looked to have claimed a draw for the home side.
However, ex-Volendam striker Kramer popped up in the 93rd minute to steal all three points for Maurice Steijn's men.
