Djukic: Valencia can achieve great things

3 August 2013 18:43

Valencia manager Miroslav Djukic is confident his side can enjoy a successful season, despite the imminent departure of Roberto Soldado.

Djukic is set to lose star striker Soldado after the club agreed a deal with Premier League side Tottenham.

However, the 47-year-old is adamant Valencia have the ability to perform well in La Liga and the UEFA Europa League even without the services of the Spain international.

"Everyone here believes in this project," he said.

"If we all come together we can achieve great things.

"Roberto has done great things for Valencia and we are grateful.

"But we are a big club who have seen big players leave before."
