Juve keeping tabs on Ibrahimovic

18 April 2013 17:14

Juventus are monitoring the situation of Zlatan Ibrahimovic at Paris Saint-Germain, according to a report.

PSG sporting director Leonardo says the Ligue 1 leaders have no intention of letting go of the Swede any time soon, but Juve are seemingly ready to make a move if the club opt to cash in on the 31-year-old – according to Goal.com.

The Sweden international previously represented the Turin giants between 2004 and 2006 but left the club for Inter Milan following the club's relegation to Serie B in the wake of the Calciopoli scandal.

Ibrahimovic has fond memories of his time at the Italian champions, and is open the idea of a return to Turin if the timing is right.

Juventus face a tough task in luring the striker back to Italy as he has a contract with PSG until 2015 and is one of the top earners in European football.

Juventus have long been in the race for a world-class striker and have previously been linked with players such as Edinson Cavani, Stevan Jovetic, Luis Suarez and Jackson Martinez.
