Distin delighted with Everton depth

Defender Sylvain Distin believes the summer dealings have given Everton the squad depth to compete.
Manager David Moyes sealed a permanent return for attacking midielder Steven Pienaar and completed deals for full internationals such as Steven Naismith, Kevin Mirallas and Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe.
And, despite the Merseyside club losing the likes of Tim Cahill, Jack Rodwell and Joseph Yobo, Distin is confident that the squad are more than capable of doing something special this campaign.
"When you see new players coming in you know everything is moving in the right direction and that is what every single player wants," he told the club's official website.
"It's a bit early to say this is the best squad during my time here.
"We need a bit of time for players to adapt and see how well they are going to do but I rarely remember the squad having so much quality.
"We have enough quality to compete for something interesting this season."
Despite their tag as perennial slow starters, Everton won their first two games of the Premier League season at home against Manchester United and away to Aston Villa.
And, whilst Distin was pleased with his side's good start, the Frenchman insists that they can continue to get better.
"We are not used to this and it is a good feeling," he said.
"We have started well and the squad is only going to get better and bigger.
"We want our team to get better and for there to be more competition between the players.
"But we should never expect too much too soon. It is a good start, which is very positive, but we are so far from the end (of the season)."
