Hulk: Brazil can get better

15 October 2012 23:50

Brazil striker Hulk has ominously warned the rest of the world that his national side are constantly improving.

The Brazilians, who will host the 2014 World Cup and 2013 Confederations Cup, have won their past five matches - all friendlies - against Sweden, South Africa, China, Argentina and Iraq.

And Hulk, who scored in three of those victories, believes confidence and cohesion within the Brazil squad is growing.

"Brazil are getting better game after game," Hulk said.

"We are getting to know each other more and more. (Coach) Mano (Menezes) is trying to get continuity in the squad, which helps a lot.

"We are improving and I am sure we are on the right track. Brazil have always been a group made of quality.

"This group is like a family and I hope we keep doing our job well until the Confederations Cup (in June 2013) and the World Cup to win these tournaments in our country."

Brazil will be aiming to make it six wins in a row when they face Japan in another friendly in Poland on Tuesday.

And Hulk was looking forward to the encounter given he will be playing against many familiar faces from the four years he spent playing in Japan with J.League outfits Kawasaki Frontale, Consadole Sapporo and Tokyo Verdy.

"I am very happy to see some of my former team-mates (from when I played in Japan)," Hulk said.

"Japan is a country that I like very much. I hope to embrace them and all Japanese people as well. "I hope it's going to be a great match tomorrow for both teams."

Brazil and Japan will meet at the Stadion Miejski in the Polish city of Wroclaw and Hulk said conditions were 'perfect' for football.

"Hopefully it's going to be crowded tomorrow. It's not possible to get anything better than this. Everything is good for playing here," he said.
