Moses loving life at Chelsea

8 November 2012 23:20

Victor Moses says there is a lot more to come from him after he scored the winner in Chelsea's 3-2 win over Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League.

Moses, who signed for Chelsea from Wigan Athletic in the summer for nine million pounds, has scored in the Blues' last two games away at Swansea and the crucial 90th-minute winner against Shakhtar.

The 21-year-old believes he has already improved, despite starting only four games for his new club, and that he has a bright future at Stamford Bridge.

"There is still a lot more to come from me," Moses said.

"I have had a few chances and been working hard in training. I always said that I wanted to enjoy myself when I get out there, I keep working hard for my team-mates.

"I have been delighted, it is been great for me so far at Chelsea."

Despite being down in the pecking order behind the likes of Juan Mata, Eden Hazard and Oscar, Moses says he has already learned from his new team-mates, and believes it is crucial in his development process.

"With the quality of players we have got, I learn from them as well," Moses said.

"That is the only way you can improve - playing around good players such as this.

"As long as I'm out there, I just want to enjoy myself. There are a number of great names here, quality players here, it's great to be working with them as well."

A draw for Chelsea against Shakhtar would have seen them drop to third in Group E with a tricky trip to Italy against Juventus up next.

But Moses was the hero at Stamford Bridge to send Chelsea top with his late winner, though the former Crystal Palace star refused to take all the plaudits after Wednesday's display.

"We have been working hard the past few weeks and it was great to get a win with Juventus coming up," he said.

"I feared we had left it too late, but overall we're delighted with the three points. It was a vital goal, but it wasn't just about me - other players did well as well.

"It feels great being in the Champions League. The club won it last season and to be here now is fantastic for me."
