Constant hopeful of Milan revival

Kevin Constant says AC Milan have not given up hope of qualifying for the Champions League with a third-place finish in Serie A.

Traditional powerhouse Milan have endured a difficult start to the season and sit 12th in the standings, trailing third-placed Napoli by 11 points.

Milan are unbeaten in their last two Serie A matches, but Constant knows they must keep winning to have any hope of rescuing their campaign.

"Now the main objective is to climb the table and then we'll think of third place," he told the club's television channel.

"We have to win against Chievo on Saturday. We have to focus on ourselves and on doing well."

The versatile midfielder joined Milan from Genoa on a one-year loan deal in the off-season, and is desperate to prove his worth and earn a permanent move.

"I'm always available for the team and whenever I get the chance to play, I try and give 100 percent," he said.

"I'm starting to get into better shape and I hope to continue on this road."

The 25-year-old has made seven appearances for Milan to date.
