Premier League preview: QPR v Reading

The only teams yet to win in the English Premier League this season meet when Queens Park Rangers play host to Reading on Sunday.

QPR are rooted to the bottom of the table with just three points from nine matches, while Reading occupy 18th on four points with a game in hand.

Manager Mark Hughes has come under fire for Rangers' wretched start, which followed a lively spending spree in the transfer market.

But midfielder Esteban Granero, who joined from Real Madrid in August, has backed Hughes to turn things around as the London club search for their first league win since May.

"It has to change because the reality is we only have three points and are bottom of the table," Granero told QPR's website.

"We have a good team, a good squad, a good manager, we do not deserve to be there - but that does not matter because you have to win games."

Reading, who beat QPR in a Capital One Cup clash back in September, head to Loftus Road on the back of a remarkable 7-5 cup loss to Arsenal on Tuesday.

Defender Kaspars Gorkss urged his Reading team-mates to stick together despite a sluggish start in their return to the top flight.

"We need to pick ourselves up as soon as possible for a massive game on Sunday, which is more important," Gorkss told Reading's website.

"A cup game is a cup game, and a league game is a league game. It's a new game on Sunday and hopefully we can get the same result we got there earlier this season."
