12 May 2012 16:24

Changchun Yatai held on to upset second-placed Jiangsu Sainty 2-1 on Saturday to move into fifth in the Chinese Super League.

Changchun led 2-0 after goals from forward partners Weldon and Cao Tianbao but Jiangsu got back into the match in the 67th minute when Eleilson scored.

The visitors held on, however, allowing them to overtake Guizhou Renhe and move into fifth spot on the CSL table.

Hangzhou claimed their second consecutive victory with a 2-1 triumph over Liaoning Whowin.

The home side hit the front after just five minutes when Feng Gang scored before Du Wei doubled Hangzhou's lead in the 32nd minute.

Milos Trifunovic put Liaoning back into the contest with a goal in the 45th minute but his side could not manage an equaliser.

Hangzhou's victory puts them into ninth on the CSL table with 12 points.

In the other CSL match on Saturday, Shanghai Shenhua drew their third straight match in their derby clash with Shanghai Shenxin.

Shenhua have now drawn five of their first 10 matches of the season and are just three spots above the relegation zone.
