Togo trash Luxembourg trip

The Togolese Football Federation (FTF) have cancelled their Luxembourg-based training due to financial constraints.

FTF secretary Yvettes Klutse said on Wednesday the team would instead host one or two friendly matches before the start of the 2014 World Cup qualifying campaign.

However, the Togolese Ministry of Sports puts the blame on the football body for the late submittal of their demand for sponsorship.

Togo are drawn in Group I against Cameroon, Libya and DR Congo, and will begin their campaign against the Libyans on June 3 in Lome before travelling to Kinshasa a week later to face Congo.
