Galliani confident Ibra will stay

5 May 2012 09:48

AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has assured fans star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic will not be leaving the club for Real Madrid.

There have been reports that Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho has been in phone contact with the striker.

Rumours in Spain have been swirling that the Real coach has talked with the Swede over a potential move to Madrid, but Galliano has rubbished the claims.

"I do not distrust Mourinho. In addition, Ibrahimovic has said he wants to stay at Milan," Galliani told Sport.

"I have a very good relationship with Ibra, but I won't ask if the SMS rumours are true. I usually do not spy on my companions' mobile phones and least of all on Zlatan's."

Ibrahimovic is set to feature for the Italian champions in the Milan derby against Inter on Sunday, with his side one point behind Serie A leaders Juventus with two games remaining.
