CSL wrap: Shenxin shock Guangzhou, Hangzhou climb

Shanghai Shenxin caused a major upset in the Chinese Super League with a 4-2 defeat of third-placed Guangzhou R&F on Saturday.

Shenxin were sitting one point above the relegation zone prior to kick-off, having lost their last three matches, but a second-half brace from Anselmo do Nascimento has moved the club into seventh position.

The home side took the lead in the 13th minute through Jonas Salley before Brazilian midfielder Davi equalised from the spot for Guangzhou with four minutes left in the half.

However, Shenxin regained the lead in the second half and secured all three points courtesy of goals from Anselmo and Wang Yun.

Meanwhile, Hangzhou moved off the bottom of the table with a 2-1 win at Shandong Luneng.

A goal from Brazilian Fabricio, his first for the club since joining from Portuguese second division outfit Portimonense, and Mazola earned Hangzhou a priceless victory away from home.

Elsewhere, Guizhou Renhe overcame Jiangsu Shuntian 3-1 at the Guiyang Olympic Sports Centre to maintain their five-game unbeaten run.

Australian defender Dino Dulbic put Renhe ahead on five minutes before Cristian Danalache levelled proceedings 10 minutes before the break.

But two goals in five minutes from Rafa Jorda and Bosnian international Zlatan Muslimovic in the second half ended a six-game winless streak against the visitors and moved Renhe up to fourth, four points behind second-placed Shuntian.

And in Saturday's other game, sixth-placed Changchun Yatai and second-from-bottom Quingdao Jonoon played out a goalless draw.
