Liga Sagres wrap: Braga keep pace with leaders

Braga kept pace with the Liga Sagres leaders thanks to a 4-1 win away to Feirense on Saturday, as Uniao de Leiria defeated Rio Ave.

Helder Barbosa put Braga ahead just six minutes into their match at Estadio Marcolino de Castro.

Two goals in the space of three second-half minutes, from Lima and Mossoro, made it 3-0 to the visitors.

Former Newcastle United midfielder Hugo Viana netted Braga's fourth on 72 minutes.

Bedi Buval did get one back for the hosts with 15 minutes remaining, but it was too late for Feirense to mount any sort of comeback.

The win sees third-place Braga move level on 55 points with Benfica - both teams are one point back from league leaders Porto.

Feirense meanwhile slid to the bottom of the standings, after Bruno Moraes' 59th-minute goal earned fellow strugglers Uniao de Leiria a 1-0 win at home to Rio Ave.

The visitors finished with 10 men following the dismissal of Anselmo three minutes into extra-time.

Leiria climb to 15th, two points back from Vitoria Setubal, who occupy the safety of 14th place.
