Pitso Mosimane is not resting on his laurels after his sacking as South Africa coach.
The 47-year-old was dismissed following a string of poor results in 2014 World Cup but despite the professional setback, he is furthering his coaching studies in Europe with a view to increasing his knowledge.
Mosimane has jetted off to the Netherlands to study modern trends at the World Football Academy during a five-day seminar.
"We will be dealing with a variety of issues relating to coaching and youth programmes aimed at improving our soccer. We will discuss modern trends of world soccer," Mosimane told The Sowetan.
Assistant coach Steve Komphela is currently in charge of Bafana Bafana in a caretaker role, while a final decision on the new coach is likely to be made in the coming weeks.
Komphela and Moroka Swallows coach Gordon Igesund are in the running to replace Mosimane at the head of the national team.
