Kenny to miss United´s Norway trip

New Leeds United goalkeeper Paddy Kenny will not be risked in the club's friendly against Norwegian side Sandefjord on Wednesday.
Kenny – who joined Leeds from QPR in July for a reported fee of 400,000 pounds – sustained a slight thigh injury last week in the club's pre-season tour of Cornwall and Devon.
And with the Championship giants just to play a one-off match in Norway, manager Neil Warnock has decided to leave the 34-year-old shot-stopper in the United Kingdom.
"We don't do want to do anything silly with Paddy," Warnock told the club's official website.
"He's got a great chance of being fit for the Preston game (on Saturday)."
Jamie Ashdown, who signed from Portsmouth last week, will deputise for Kenny in the fixture.
With Leeds still immensely popular in Scandinavia, a big crowd is expected to watch the match, which is likely to double as a debut for midfielder David Norris.
Norris also crossed to United from Portsmouth recently, with other new signings Andy Gray, Luke Varney, Jason Pearce, Adam Drury and Paul Green all set to take part in the friendly.
