Vietnam to host cup tournament

Vietnam's Football Federation will host the 2012 VFF Cup on October 24-28.

North Korea have been invited to the ninth edition of the annual football tournament which will take place at Thong Nhat Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City along with Turkmenistan and Iran's Under-23 side.

It also will be the first test for the newly-selected coach Phan Thanh Hung before he leads the team at the AFF Cup which begins in late November.

Vietnam are one of most successful teams in VFF Cup history with two titles, together with Thailand and Uzbekistan who were the last winners.
