Bonera calls for Matri return

AC Milan defender Daniele Bonera has called on Juventus striker Alessandro Matri to make a return to the San Siro.

Striker Matri scored 10 times as Juve won Serie A last season, but with the Turin giants reportedly lining up moves for Robin van Persie and Mattia Destro, the 27-year old has been linked with a transfer to the club where he started his career.

During Milan's 1-0 defeat to Juve in a pre-season meeting on Saturday, Bonera is reported to have asked Matri, "Will you come to Milan?"

Matri reportedly replied, "I'll see".

Milan are in need of a striker to boost their attack after selling Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Paris Saint-Germain for 23 million euros.
