Adriano to remain a Barca player

The agent of Barcelona's Adriano has claimed the Brazilian fullback will not leave the club in the off-season.
Versatile defender Adriano started just 13 matches last season, and it was believed the 27-year-old could be headed for the Camp Nou exit.
However, Adriano's representative Paolo Alfonso has moved quickly to dismiss that notion, and claimed negotiations over a contract extension will soon commence.
"Adriano is very happy at Barca and will continue there next season. It was very difficult for him to finally arrive at this club and he will continue here. Furthermore, the relationship with the board is great," the agent told
Radio COM.
"As is normal for a player with two years remaining on his contract, Adriano will be negotiating a renewal. But there is no hurry."
"Right now, the player is on vacation and I will be with him in a few days."
Adriano joined Barcelona from Sevilla in July 2010.
