Schut heads to South Africa

Mamelodi Sundowns have signed defender Alje Schut from Dutch First Division side FC Utrecht.

News broke recently that Sundowns were keen on signing 31-year-old Schut, who played 13 seasons for Utrecht.

The length of his contract with the Pretoria club has not been revealed.

Sundowns confirmed the signing on Tuesday on their website: "Alje Schut has been signed from Dutch First Division side FC Utrecht."

Other new foreign players in the team are Ghanaians Mumasi Abubakar and Emmanuel Baffor.
