Mudingayi set for Inter move

The agent of Gaby Mudingayi has confirmed that the midfielder has agreed a deal to join Inter Milan.
Coming hot on the heels of Matias Silvestre and Samir Handanovic's prospective arrivals, the 30-year-old Bologna man will follow in their footsteps and ply his trade at San Siro next season.
After strengthening the goalkeeping and centre-back positions, Inter made the signing of a midfield enforcer their next priority, and they have wasted little time in acquiring Mudingayi.
The Congolese-born midfielder, who is a full Belgium international, will join Inter for a reported two million euros as his contract was due to expire at the end of the 2012/13 campaign.
Reflecting on news of the transfer, his agent told
FCInter1908.it that the time was right for his client to join a big club, and is hopeful the former Lazio man can add to his 17 Belgium caps - the last of which came three years ago.
"He deserves this transfer, he worked hard for this," he said. "It's all done and he will sign a contract for two or three years. Gaby is obviously very happy.
"Only in Belgium is Mudingayi underestimated. I hope that this transfer may reopen the doors of the national team (for him)."
Mudingayi established himself at Belgian top-flight outfit Gent, before moving on to Torino, Lazio and Bologna, where he became a focal point in midfield, helping the side to a ninth-place finish in Serie A.
