Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao believes new coach Diego Simeone is responsible for his return to form.
Striker Falcao arrived at the Vicente Calderon from Porto in August.
After making a fine start to his career in La Liga, the 25-year-old began to struggle in the run-up to the mid-season break.
However, Falcao has rediscovered his touch following the arrival of Simeone as coach on December 23, hitting five goals in his last two league matches and taking his tally to 14 for the season.
According to the Colombia international, the spectacular return to form is down to the new boss.
"Simeone knew me from having worked together at River (Plate)," he told AS.
"He knew how to get the best out of me, how to realise my potential."
Simeone's impact has seen Atletico collect seven points from their last three matches, rising to seventh place in La Liga.
"He's a very passionate coach in everything he does," Falcao said.
"He has very clear concepts of how he wants to manage the team and gives us a lot of intensity."
"The message is effort and that we are a whole and we do everything together in terms of attack and defence."
"The most important thing is that every one of us does our best for the good of the group so that we can soon be close to the Champions League places."
Atletico are in La Liga action on Monday when they tackle Osasuna in Pamplona.
