Bayern Munich's Manuel Neuer admitted he was responsible for the first goal in their Bundesliga loss at Borussia Moenchengladbach on Friday.
In what was the first Bundesliga match after the winter break, goalkeeper Neuer's poor clearance to Marco Reus saw Bayern go 1-0 down after 11 minutes in a match they eventually conceded 3-1.
"My mistake led to the defeat and that is hard. I tried to clear long to the right side to (Thomas) Mueller and (Mario) Gomez, but I directly passed to a 'Gladbach player, to Marco Reus," Neuer said.
"For him (to score) it was easy then. For me it's obviously difficult, but we have to go on. We didn't take the three points but we have a lot of games left."
Despite the setback, the goalkeeper is looking forward to the next game against Wolfsburg.
"We have to play like we can and due to the fact that we are playing at home I am convinced that we show a different attitude and we need to get three points," he said.
