The agent of AC Milan defender Taye Taiwo says his client could leave Italy in the January transfer window.
The Nigeria international has voiced his desire for a new challenge after making just eight competitive appearances since joining the Serie A champions from Marseille in May.
A move to Genoa as part of the deal that saw Alexander Merkel return to Milan had been tipped as a strong possibility, but Taiwo's agent has ruled out a move to the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.
"The player will not move to Genoa simply because they have not asked for him," Fabio Parisi told MilanNews.it.
"There is a possibility that he could leave and we are trying to find a solution. There could be some developments today, let's see what happens."
"A move abroad is surely the strongest possibility."
