Bolton's Ryo Miyaichi and Southampton striker Tadanari Lee have been called up for Japan's final World Cup qualifier against Uzbekistan.

Miyaichi, 19, is in line to earn his first international cap when the Blue Samurai run out for Japan's final third-round qualifier next Wednesday.

He will join Yuto Nagatomo, Mike Havenaar, Lee, and other Europe-based internationals just days after an all-domestic Japan squad beat Iceland 3-1 in an international friendly.

Miyaichi scored his first English goal last weekend in an FA Cup win against Millwall in just his second match for the Wanderers after joining on loan from Arsenal in January.

Jubilo Iwata veteran Ryoichi Maeda was left out of the squad despite scoring Japan's first goal in the Iceland match just two minutes into play.

Jungo Fujimoto and Tomoaki Makino, who also scored in the match, both received call-ups.

Other notable absences include Keisuke Honda, who recently returned to play for CSKA Moscow in Champions League action against Real Madrid, as well as Dortmund's Shinji Kagawa who rejoined his team in practice this week after sustaining an injury.
