Maritimo continued their climb up the Liga Sagres table following a narrow 1-0 win over lowly Uniao de Leiria on Friday.
Spanish midfielder Roberto scored the only goal of the match after 66 minutes at the Estadio dos Barreiros, his strike enough to give the hosts all three points.
It was also Roberto's first goal for the club in 63 appearances since moving from Celta Vigo in 2009.
The win moves Maritimo up to fourth on 28 points, while Uniao remain in the relegation zone, one point behind 14th-placed Feirense.
