Montpellier coach Rene Girard has urged his team to stay focused ahead of their meeting with Bordeaux on Saturday.
Unbeaten in all competitions this year, Montpellier are just a point adrift of Ligue 1 leaders Paris Saint-Germain.
They conceded a late goal at Parc des Princes on Sunday as Carlo Ancelotti's team kept top spot, and Girard warned his side to turn their attentions to Bordeaux, who are unbeaten in their last five league matches.
"For us, we cannot speak about what threat they pose but the thing we have to be careful with is the last game we played," Girard said on Thursday.
"This game brought us all together, we needed everything we had to win. But as I said to the players, the league is not over at the end of game, no matter which team wins. There was no winner in that case."
"And now we have to focus again, and forget a little about the game in Paris because we have to deal with Bordeaux now."
"We have seen that Francis Gillot has found a good system, with five playing at the back. It gives us an idea of which team we can expect, a very defensive team, they are comfortable playing this way."
Bordeaux have moved into ninth after their recent run of form, keeping their chances of a European spot alive.
Girard said his team needed to be wary of an in-form side whose top-four ambitions were still alive.
"We need to expect a strong challenge. I think they have rediscovered the taste of victory," Girard said.
"Now they may think that they have every chance of European football next year. It will give them even more motivation."
