Harry Redknapp has confirmed his interest in bringing Lille's highly-rated Eden Hazard to Tottenham Hotspur at the end of the season.
Hazard was instrumental in helping Lille secure a double of Ligue 1 and Coupe de France last term.
Spurs manager Redknapp and chairman Daniel Levy were in discussions about signing the player in January, but decided against making a move at the time.
Redknapp has reportedly sent members of his scouting staff to keep an eye on the 21-year-old’s progress this season.
Redknapp told The Observer: "Hazard is a player that we have spoken about. He is a player who is definitely on our list."
Any potential swoop for the Belgium international could depend on whether Redknapp is still in the Spurs dugout or in charge of England at the end of the campaign.
Another stumbling block would be Lille's reported 33 million-euro asking price, while interest from Barcelona, Real Madrid and Arsenal, means it could prove tricky to lure Hazard to White Hart Lane.
In an interview with French television channel RTBF, Hazard said: "Maybe it will be Tottenham."
Reports in France last week suggested Hazard has already agreed personal terms with Spurs.
