Former Villarreal, Panathinaikos and Getafe coach Victor Munoz is set to be unveiled as the new boss of Saudi Arabian giants Al Ittihad.
The 54-year-old Spaniard has been without a job after leaving bankrupt Swiss club Neuchatel Xamax earlier this year.
It is understood Al Ittihad and Munoz have reached an agreement with an official announcement expected on Tuesday.
Munoz would replace Matjaz Kek who was sacked last week after barely a month in the job, with the team languishing in mid-table in the Saudi Pro League.
Lothar Matthaus, Hasan Shehata and Eric Gerets have all reportedly been chased by the eight-time Saudi champions, who are about to embark on their 2012 AFC Champions League campaign.
Al Ittihad, two-time Asian champions, reached the semi-finals of the 2011 tournament.
