Tottenham striker Louis Saha could not hide his excitement after scoring twice for the club on his first start at White Hart Lane.
The 33-year-old completed a surprise deadline day move from Everton at the end of January and starred on his first start in the 5-0 thrashing of Newcastle.
Saha scored his first Spurs goal just five minutes into the game after Benoit Assou-Ekotto's opener and doubled his account 15 minutes later as the home side raced into an unassailable lead.
Further goals from Niko Kranjcar and Emmanuel Adebayor ensured a comfortable victory for Harry Redknapp's Champions League-chasing side.
"It was a great, great feeling," he said.
"I am not that young, but it's just like I was living the dream of a young boy - to make your debut and score on your home ground, it's just amazing."
There has been a lot of focus on Tottenham's manager Redknapp following his tax evasion trial last week, as well as fans across the country calling for him to be the new England manager following Fabio Capello's departure.
The Frenchman heaped praise on his new boss and can see why he is being tipped for a role with the national team.
"He is right up there with the best managers because he has so much quality around the team and he gets more than 100 percent from every player," he said.
"It's immense. That shows he has great quality."
"It's great to work for him. He gives you so much confidence. He has a desire to win things. You can see it in his eyes."
"The last two weeks have been really difficult for him and it was nice to end it with a great win and a great performance."
As well as paying recognition to his manager, Saha was equally impressed with his new strike partner Adebayor, who set up four of Tottenham's goals before adding the fifth himself.
"Adebayor was immense," he said. "Physically, his work-rate and desire to get involved in everything was great."
"He was involved in everything. It's dead easy to play with him and he is a great character to be around."
