Ajax defender Jan Vertonghen's agent said Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich have not made contact regarding a potential transfer.
The Bavarians are looking to add some fresh blood to their defence in the transfer window at season's end, and Vertonghen is believed to be one of the Bavarians' primary transfer targets.
However, a summer move is still a way off as Bayern are yet to get in touch with the Belgium international's representative Marjolein Nakhli.
"They (Bayern) have not contacted us. It's not the first time that I hear something about this, but I can't do much with it at this point," Nakhli told Goal.com.
"The English and German press have written stories like this before. Things will only get serious when a club approach Ajax though, and that has not happened yet as far as I know."
"However, I can reveal that there is plenty of interest from abroad."
The 24-year-old has a contract with Ajax until the end of the 2012-13 campaign and he recently admitted that he is unlikely to sign a new deal, with the Eredivisie champions expected to cash in on the centre-back come May.
