Athletic Bilbao midfielder Ander Herrera said he wants the Copa del Rey final to be held in Madrid.
The Basque side booked their place in the showpiece event when they passed Mirandes 8-3 on aggregate on Tuesday.
With Barcelona and Valencia locked at 1-1 ahead of their second-leg showdown at Camp Nou on Wednesday, there is a chance that Bilbao will face the Catalans in the final.
That could cause controversy, given that when Barca met Bilbao in the 2009 decider at Mestalla, fans from both clubs booed the Spanish national anthem.
Herrera said he hoped Real Madrid could host the Spanish cup decider.
"I want to play the final at the Bernabeu," he told Punto Pelota.
The 22-year-old was born and raised in Basque stronghold Bilbao, but came through the ranks at Real Zaragoza before arriving at San Mames last year.
