Cerezo sets sights on Barca scalp

Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo said his side must beat Barcelona in La Liga, to make up for points lost to rivals Real Madrid.

Cerezo's side were undone by strikes by Cristiano Ronaldo and Mesut Ozil either side of the break as Real continued their unbeaten streak in the capital derby and made up ground on Atletico, who are just five points ahead of Jose Mourinho's men in the standings.

Cerezo said his team needs to amend for the lost points against Real, and beating Barcelona at Camp Nou on Sunday is a good starting point.

"In the derby we lost three points. If you look beyond the fact that they are our rivals, those are three lost points," Cerezo told reporters.

"And now we have to retrieve them from wherever we can, even Barca. If we win, then we will have to focus on Celta. We have to take it one game at a time and do not think about the title."

Cerezo was also quick to dismiss the speculation regarding striker Radamel Falcao's potential departure from Madrid.

"The topic of Falcao is an easy one. He has a contract with the club and he is tied to us now," he said.
