Defending champions Porto maintained their unbeaten start to the Primeira Liga season, prevailing 1-0 at home to lowly Moreirense.

Porto, who had won eight and drawn two of their opening 10 league games, were far from their free-flowing best on Saturday as they struggled to breakdown a resilient Moreinrense defence .

However, they finally made the breakthrough when Colombian striker Jackson Martinez netted his 10th goal of the campaign with 20 minutes remaining at the Estadio Do Dragao.

The victory moves Vitor Pereira's Porto three points clear at the summit, with second-placed Benfica set to play Sporting Lisbon on Monday.
