Championship wrap: Palace held at home, Middlesbrough win thriller

Crystal Palace were forced to settle for a point at home, while Middlesbrough survived a scare in the Championship on Saturday.

Second-placed Palace were held to a 2-2 draw with Blackpool after substitute Nouha Dicko levelled proceedings for the visitors in the 89th minute.

Blackpool had taken the lead through Nathan Delfouneso after 37 minutes but fell behind following second-half goals from Owen Garvan and Glenn Murray.

Palace manager Ian Holloway looked set for a win against his former club but was denied in a late twist as Dicko slammed home the equaliser.

Elsewhere, Ishmael Miller's 76th-minute goal handed Middlesbrough a 3-2 win away to bottom-placed Peterborough United.

Faris Haroun's brace inside the opening 20 minutes gave Middlesbrough the advantage before Dwight Gayle restored parity with goals on either side of the interval for the hosts.

Peterborough fought gallantly in their quest for an unlikely result but fell short as Miller sealed third-placed Middlesbrough's 12th win of the season.

Meanwhile, goals from Conor Sammon, Jake Buxton and Ben Davies guided Derby County to a 3-1 win over Leeds United at home.

Jamie Vardy's 90th-minute goal salvaged a 2-2 draw for Leicester City at home to lowly Barnsley.

Hull City climbed to fourth place after accounting for Watford with a 2-1 away win.

James Vaughan's 87th-minute equaliser clinched a 2-2 draw for Huddersfield Town against Bolton Wanderers at home.

Nottingham Forest overcame the visiting Burnley 2-0, while Bristol City came from behind to defeat Sheffield Wednesday 3-2 away from home.

Charlton Athletic entertained Brighton and Hove Albion in a 2-2 draw, Ipswich Town stunned Millwall 3-0 at home, while an own goal from Marlon King was enough for Wolves to win 1-0 against Birmingham.
