Klopp still delighted with City point

3 December 2012 21:32

Jurgen Klopp believes Borussia Dortmund's Champions League match against Manchester City was one of their finest moments.

BVB left the Etihad Stadium with a well-deserved point following a 1-1 draw in their Group D against Roberto Mancini's men in October.

And it was a display which hugely impressed the 45-year-old.

"That was one of the best games ever played by any BVB team," Klopp told reporters ahead of Tuesday's return fixture.

Although Dortmund will have to do without the services of Sven Bender and Sebastian Kehl, and are already guaranteed a place in the last 16, Klopp did not share any exact plans regarding the line-up for the encounter.

He added: "The Champions League is still a very appealing competition. We want to live up to that despite the personnel issues (we have).

"At the moment, I cannot give any details on how we will appear tomorrow. We will tinker [with the] team and then get started. We want to present a starting XI that is as fresh as possible."

Regarding a possible move away of striker Robert Lewandowski, Klopp believes they have nothing to fear if bids do come in for their star man.

He said: "I am not afraid to lose him. The times when German clubs got worried by English teams revealing their interest in a player are over, fortunately."
