CSL: Liaoning Whowin 1 Guangzhou R&F 2

Former Blackburn Rovers striker Yakubu scored a second-half brace to lead Guangzhou R&F to a 2-1 away win over Liaoning Whowin.

Liaoning went ahead on 28 minutes thanks to Macedonian midfielder Vlatko Grozdanovski with the goal enough to give the home side a 1-0 lead going into half-time.

Guangzhou came out after the break looking for an equaliser and they got it through a Yakubu strike in the 53rd minute.

The Nigerian then gave his side the lead 16 minutes later, scoring what proved to be the match-winner.

The victory sees Guangzhou move up to fourth place on goal difference on the Chinese Super League table, while Liaoning continue to struggle in 13th, just two places above the relegation zone with seven matches to play.
