Barton keen for Marseille move

QPR midfielder Joey Barton wants to play for Marseille and is in negotiations with the club, according to his agent Willie McKay.
The controversial 29-year-old has been linked with the French side for some time, after losing the captaincy at Loftus Road and being left without a squad number.
Barton was hit with a 12-game ban at the end of last season following his dismissal against Manchester City and QPR have since gone on a huge recruitment drive.
Barton now looks set to leave Loftus Road with a move to Marseille seemingly his preferred destination.
"Joey Barton wants to play for OM next season," McKay told RMC.
"We're in negotiations, but nothing is finished at the moment.
"I don't want to make any more comments on the negotiations out of respect to Jose Anigo (Marseille sporting director) and Vincent Labrune (Marseille president)."
Marseille have made a strong start to the Ligue 1 season, taking six points from their first two games against newly promoted Reims and Sochaux.
