Nocerino confident of Milan success

16 August 2012 16:17

Antonio Nocerino believes AC Milan will cope without the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva.

The midfielder insists it is not the first time Milan have lost a big name, and for that reason, whoever joins the San Siro side in the next two weeks will find their way quickly, just like he did after arriving from Palermo last year.

Ibrahimovic and Silva left for big-spending Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain, but Nocerino is confident they can be replaced.

"Whoever arrives at AC Milan will do well, just like I did last year. Milan paid 3000 lire and a soda for me, yet I scored 11 goals," Nocerino told Rai Sport.

"I don't know (who will arrive at Milan). Great players have left, but that's happened in the past as well.

"Milan are Milan, they are a great club that will always do well, regardless of the players that come and go."

The Serie A giants are preparing for their league opener at home against Sampdoria on August 26.
