Cazorla concentrating on improving

16 August 2012 19:19

Spain midfielder Santi Cazorla hopes fans were entertained by their 2-1 win over Puerto Rico on Wednesday.

The Arsenal playmaker scored alongside Cesc Fabregas just before half-time to help Spain to victory over the 138th world-ranked Caribbean nation, despite high humidity and heat rendering conditions difficult to play in.

"I hope everyone has enjoyed the game. However, the most important thing is for the team to get better," Cazorla told EFE.

Spanish Football Federation president Angel Maria Villar also had kind words to say about the hospitality of the Puerto Rican people, to whom he extended his gratitude.

"We have come to this happy country and we were treated as if we were in our own home. Puerto Rico treated us with love. I congratulate and thank the Puerto Rican people," he said.

Spain's next match will be a visit to Georgia for a World Cup qualifier in Group A on September 11.
