Toivonen criticises PSV price-tag

Ola Toivonen has claimed PSV Eindhoven's asking price of 14 million euros is putting off other clubs from negotiating with the Dutch giants.

Sweden international Toivonen has been linked with a move to clubs such as Newcastle United, Borussia Moenchengladbach and Rubin Kazan.

However, a transfer is yet to materialise, and the attacker believes the Eredivisie side's hefty demands are not helping his chances of moving on.

"PSV's asking price is a bit unreasonable in my opinion," Toivonen was quoted as saying by Fotbollskanalen.

"Of course, I would like to make the next step in my career. I have always been honest about that. I am keeping my options open.

"However, I would not feel bad about it if I stayed at PSV for another season."

The 26-year-old has a contract with Eredivisie giants PSV until June 2014.
