Limerick to look at racist claims

Limerick are to launch an investigation into claims of racist abuse during Sunday’s friendly against Manchester City.
The Premier League side ran out comfortable 4-0 winners on the night, but the game, which was attended by close to 20,000 people, was plunged into controversy by reports of racist abuse.
After the game, City defender Gael Clichy tweeted that bananas had been thrown onto the pitch during the game.
"How sad to see 'bananas thrown on the pitch' tonight... Knowing people around the world need food," said the message on Clichy's Twitter account.
Responding to the comments, Limerick and Thomond Park said they intend to identify the individual responsible, adding that they would be banned future games at the venue.
A statement read: "Limerick FC and Thomond Park are to review CCTV footage to identify the individual who threw an offensive object onto the field.
"The individual will be banned from all future games at Thomond Park and Jackman Park and the matter will be passed on to the police."
