Olympic football draw revealed
Great Britain's men will face Uruguay, the United Arab Emirates and Senegal at the 2012 London Olympic Games football tournament.
Stuart Pearce's side will open their campaign against Olympic debutant Senegal, who may call on Premier League stars Demba Ba and Papiss Cisse as two of their three allowed over-age players.
"It is such an honour to play against Britain in the opening match at Old Trafford," Senegalese FA president Augustin Senghor told Reuters.
"We will field our strongest team and see if our players at Newcastle like Demba Ba and Papiss Cisse can be involved."
Pearce believes his team will be challenged in Group A come July and insisted LA Galaxy star David Beckham is no guaranteed starter.
"I wouldn't dismiss anyone in the group or teams coming here," Pearce said.
"It'll be tough - that's tournament football.
"I would like to think everyone in the squad will have star quality.
"I'll know a bit more about David Beckham's chances when I go to the States and see him. He's been a great ambassador but that's no guarantee he'll get in the squad.
"I'm picking on form and merit alone."
In other groups, two-time silver medallist and two-time bronze medallist Brazil will meet Belarus, New Zealand and Egypt in their bid for Olympic gold.
Spain, who won gold in 1992, will face Honduras, Japan and Morocco while Mexico take on South Korea, Switzerland and Gabon.
The tournament will commence on July 26 with the gold medal match taking place at Wembley on August 11.
All men's teams are made up of under-23 players with three over-age players allowed per side.
Group A: Great Britain, Uruguay, UAE, Senegal
Group B: Mexico, South Korea, Switzerland, Gabon
Group C: Brazil, Belarus, New Zealand, Egypt
Group D: Spain, Honduras, Japan, Morocco
