Atletico facing ´biggest´ game, says Cerezo

21 April 2012 16:43

Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo said their Europa League semi-final second leg with Valencia will be the climax of their season.

Diego Simeone's men go into the fixture with a 4-2 advantage over their La Liga counterparts, but Cerezo insisted the tie is not over despite his side holding the upper hand.

"I do not know when they (Real Madrid and Barcelona) play, but I do know that we play on Sunday at the Vicente Calderon against Espanyol, before the biggest game of the season against Valencia," Cerezo told AS.

"We took a major step forward, but there are still 90 minutes left and as everyone knows, this is football. Still, it was a great match.

"The players will make a great effort to achieve the goals we laid out at the beginning of the season, and we are on track to achieve them."
