International friendly wrap: Chile power past Peru

A second-half surge set up Chile's 3-0 win over Peru in an international friendly in Lima on Wednesday.

After the opening half at Estadio Nacional ended scoreless, Chile came out from the interval firing and went ahead through Esteban Mena's 46th-minute strike.

Felipe Flores extended the advantage for the visitors in the 64th minute, before Bryan Carrasco rounded out an impressive display from Claudio Borghi's side 18 minutes from time.

In Wednesday's other friendly international, Costa Rica had to come from behind to salvage a 1-1 draw at home against Honduras.

David Suazo gave the visitors a 23rd-minute lead at Estadio Ricardo Saprissa, only for Olman Vargas to equalise in the 49th minute for Honduras.
