Conte focussed on own fortunes

Juventus coach Antonio Conte has urged his team not to think about the fortunes of rivals AC Milan ahead of Saturday's clash with Palermo.

Juve managed to cut the gap between themselves and Milan at the top of the table to just two points last weekend, but the former club captain insisted his players should only focus on their own championship tilt, starting with three points against their Sicilian opponents.

"(Regardless of the title race), we must watch our own house and when we win we are all happy, especially if a victory comes after a good performance," Conte told Juventus Channel.

Conte explained the factors his Juventus side take into consideration when preparing for matches, but stressed playing to win is paramount to his philosophy.

"Our countermeasures always remain the same: organisation, intensity, desire and sacrifice," he said.

"We especially want to win the game, as we have always done.

"We know we will find an opponent who will try to put a spanner in the works, but we are ready and want to continue doing well."
