Brazil poised for Superclasico win

27 September 2011 15:52

Brazil go into the second leg of the Superclasico de las Americas tie in Belem against Argentina as favourites.

A goalless draw in the first-leg in Argentina means Mano Menezes' side have the upper hand in a match which will only feature home-based players.

With the second match falling outside FIFA's international dates, the likes of Alexandre Pato and Lionel Messi will not be in action due to club commitments.

But Menezes can still count on at least one experienced star, with Flamengo attacker Ronaldinho set to play, while Santos forward Neymar will also line up for the hosts.

Argentina will miss playmaker Juan Roman Riquelme of Boca Juniors through a knee injury while Gremio defender Mario Fernandes will also miss out.
