Tottenham and Stoke City will be out to continue their unbeaten runs in the Europa League on Thursday, while Paris-Saint Germain need a win.
Harry Redknapp's team have been largely untroubled in Group A, sitting two points clear at the top after three games.
They are unbeaten in their last seven matches in all competitions, but they have a difficult trip to Russia to take on Rubin Kazan.
Tottenham recorded a hard-fought 1-0 win at home in the last meeting between the teams, but a trip to the Tsentralnyi Stadion is set to prove a tougher challenge.
The form of midfielder Rafael van der Vaart is likely to be pleasing Redknapp, with the Dutchman finding the net four times in his last three outings.
The addition of Scott Parker in the centre of midfield has also been vital, with the Englishman pulling the strings for Spurs.
Meanwhile, Group E leaders Stoke City face a difficult trip to Israel to take on Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Tony Pulis' men have lost three consecutive matches in all competitions and will need the firepower of Jonathan Walters and Peter Crouch to continue their strong start in Europe.
In contrast to the strong starts of the English Premier League sides, Ligue 1 outfit Paris Saint-Germain need to record a win at home to Slovan Bratislava.
They have collected four points from three Group F matches, but Antoine Kombouare will be keen for a victory against the fourth-placed Slovakians.
In other matches, Group C leaders PSV Eindhoven will be aiming for four wins from as many matches when they host Israeli club Hapoel Tel Aviv, who are without a point.
Serie A outfit Lazio sit second in Group D with two points but they will want their first win when they host Zurich.
AZ Alkmaar travel to take on Austria Wien, Birmingham City host Club Brugge, Celtic desperately need a win when they welcome Stade Rennes, Udinese travel to Atletico Madrid and Craven Cottage will play host to Fulham taking on Wisla Krakow.
