Two goalless draws and a surprise 2-0 win for Air India were the highlights of Sunday's 10th round of India's I-League.
Air India's win over Dempo Sports Club handed the favourites and former champions their third successive defeat.
A goal from substitute Manandeep Singh (71st minute) and Collin Abranches' long-range goal three minutes from time confirmed the upset.
The defeat puts Dempo second, behind Churchill Brothers, with 21 points from 10 matches while Air India move to 16 points from 10 matches.
Meanwhile, Pailan Arrows held East Bengal to a goalless draw at the Salt Lake Stadium.
It was Pailan’s fourth consecutive draw and they now move to six points from 10 matches while East Bengal move to 20 points from 10 matches.
Pune FC’s dominating display fell short against Mumbai FC as they were unable to score in a goalless draw.
The draw was Pune's third in the league, but importantly it extended their unbeaten run to four matches.
Pune FC took their points tally to 15 but they slip to seventh place.
Two chances, one in either half from strikers Jeje Lalpekhlua and Mandjou Keita, added to Pune's woes.
