(GSM) - CSKA Moskva lost touch with the top of the Russian Premier League, suffering a 1-0 defeat by Lokomotiv in Sunday's capital city derby.
After winning their last three games, CSKA hoped to make it four in a row in order to keep at least some pressure on leaders Zenit St. Petersburg and second-placed Rubin Kazan.
But with 25 minutes played at Lokomotiv stadium in Moscow, it was the home team to score what turned out to be the only goal through 20-year-old Brazilian forward Maicon.
CSKA are now ten points behind Zenit, and four points behind Rubin. The latter did play two matches more.
Fourth-placed Spartak Nalchik played away to Krylya Sovetov and ended up losing 2-0. The relegation candidates scored through Nenad Djordjevic and Pavel Yakovlev.
