Marchisio out of Romania friendly

ROME (AFP) - Italy midfielder Claudio Marchisio will miss Wednesday's friendly against Romania in Klagenfurt, Austria, because of a leg injury.

The Juventus player has been allowed to return to his club after joining up with Italy at their Coverciano training base near Florence on Monday, where the problem was discovered.

The 24-year-old picked up the knock in Saturday's Serie A clash against Roma.
